Mr. and Mrs. Blackburn: Part 1
Duane Blackburn was on full alert as he entered the 15th District. He drove in such a way as to not attract attention from the casual bystander, but his eyes constantly scanned the way ahead and his mirrors, keen to catch the first hint of danger. Had it been ten years ago, this district of The Bronx would be densely packed with all manner of human beings. Now, the downtrodden district was a cultural melting pot for the variety of alien races that encompassed the Galactic Collective. With the interstellar wars brewing beyond the Sol System, Earth became refugee central for all manner of aliens whose governments were involved.

It didn't take too long for Will to calm down enough for his appetite to surface; just barely an hour. Downstairs, Will and Crow sat across from each other at the dinner table. Curious, they both looked around the rather empty room. It was attached to the kitchen on Crow's left, and on his right was a few windows. Behind him, were some pillars holding up an open archway that led into the ballroom, a much more expansive and empty room.
The dining room was lit by a chandelier hanging over the center of the table, along with several of the sconces lit on the walls surrounding them. The walls were otherwise bare of artwork or any kind of design,
Dear Ariana,
I write to you to inform you that I am alive and well. My heart crumbles knowing how far away you are and even as I write this my tears stain the paper. Sometimes I feel like I can smell your perfume over the winds, and that puts my worry to rest. This war has brought with it much heartache and dilemma on both the moral and strategic ground and I fear I don't have much time. The dragons have broken through the barricades and are vastly approaching Shao Caelora.
But Ariana, pray, have no fear. We have fallen back to The Peak. The eagles believe that if we fortify our position enough we can make our final stand here. Doub
On that winter's morning, the frost was biting and numbing on my hands and feet. I continued to trek on without protest, along with my father who'm I had been hunting with that day. We journeyed out of our secluded pasture to venture into the wild in order to hunt our quarry, and maybe even learn a few interesting facts about life in the process.
One rule of life, for certain, was to expect the unexpected. We expected the frequent passing of deer, or the hibernating growls of slumbering bear. What we didn't expect was to stare into the face of a creature of legend and myth. It slowly slid its muzzle out of the frozen ravine, and studied us w
"Today is a perfect day to go camping," thought Amanda. Amanda was a country girl who loved going camping. If she was given a choice between a shopping day at a mall or a day outside, she would chose the great outdoors. Today she was hiking along a path in the woods, in her native state of Montana, and admired all the wild plants and creatures as she went. It was almost sunset and she was about to head home, then she noticed the strange track in the dust. The track was long and smooth. "It was not like a snake could make such a track?" she thought.
She noticed there were more tracks leading deeper into the forest. Being curious, sh

Chapter 2: The cottage
March’s cottage had a nice green patch of grass in a small circular area around it. There was no fence blocking it off but from the lack of other creatures around it was not necessary. The tea table though curvy, was very neat and clean and reached about 25 feet out extending to the ends of the grass.
March checked each of the several tea pots and dozens of little tea cups but could not find any tea around. “Well now this is embarrassing.” He said. “You find yourself a seat anywhere you like and I will be back shortly.”
Then March; carrying as many tea pots as he could in his arms slipped into the cottage. Ali
